Introduction

The Infrastructure Council respects your right to the protection of personal information, in accordance with the laws of Canada and any Province or Territory relating to the protection of privacy.

The Infrastructure Council is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all personal and financial information it collects and maintains in the course of its activities. We have adopted the following Privacy Policy which sets out our standards for collecting, using and disclosing the personal information of our members, partners and customers. This policy also describes how we protect personal information and how we keep ourselves accessible and accountable to our members, partners and customers.

Use of requested information

We only use personal information that is necessary to fulfill the purposes that are set out in this policy or otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

We use your personal information to properly process your requests and to provide you with the information and information you want to see. We also use any information you voluntarily provide to us in order to provide our products and services to you properly. We may also use the information we have collected to add personalized features to our services or to plan content more adequately, according to the interests of users. The Infrastructure Council and its partners may also use your information for the purposes of presenting you online or otherwise content that may be of interest to you, to the extent permitted by applicable laws.

In accordance with our E-mail Policy, we may use your personal information to send you promotional or informational emails concerning the activities or news of the Infrastructure Council, always bearing in mind you offer the best possible service.

You can manage your presence in our lists of participants in Council activities accessible to some of our members and define your subscription preferences by using the different links contained in each of our emails to make your adjustments and unsubscribe, or contact us. 

Protecting your confidential data

We observe strict security measures with regard to the archiving and disclosure of the information you provide to us, in order to prevent unauthorized access. Therefore, it is possible that we will ask you again to prove your identity before providing you with confidential information or to modify it at your request (to make a request write to info@ci-ic.ca).

Cookies 

Cookies are pieces of information that an http server stores on your computer’s hard drive to identify you. Our cookies do not contain confidential information, but simply a number that only allows the Infrastructure Council to identify you and make your visit more pleasant and user-friendly. Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can refuse them by modifying « Your preferences » on your computer.

Transmission of your details to third parties

By guaranteeing you the utmost confidentiality, the Infrastructure Council undertakes not to disclose or market to third parties any information whatsoever concerning you, except under the terms of a legal constraint (by testimony in court, questioning, request for documents, subpoena, request for civil investigation or other similar proceeding pursuant to an order of a court of competent jurisdiction, or in order to comply with applicable conditions imposed by a government agency or other regulatory authority, or other legal obligations).

Modify your data

At any time, you can view, modify or request removal of all your confidential data by contacting us at info@ci-ic.ca.

The Infrastructure Council reserves the right to modify its confidentiality policy at any time. In this case, it will notify all those concerned.

Email policy

Infrastructure Council email subscribers are members, partners, active clients or subscribers through our website, professionals whose industry is closely related to the infrastructure sector and who have told us about their interest by sending us their email through a business card or by phone or having prominently posted their email address without specifying that they do not want to receive any unsolicited email to that address.

All emails sent by or on behalf of the Infrastructure Council or any of its departments carry the mailing address, telephone number and website address of the Infrastructure Council.

A hyperlink to an unsubscribe mechanism is included at the bottom of all email submissions. The page accessible through this hyperlink also allows you to change your subscription preferences.

The list of email addresses of subscribers to electronic mailings of the Council will never be rented or sold, whether in whole or in part, unless your consent has been obtained beforehand.

Email communications notice

Email messages may contain privileged or confidential information. If you are not the recipient of a communication or if you receive one in error, please notify the sender and destroy the message without copying it or disclosing its contents. Thank you.
